19 of Medvedev's 21 titles have been achieved on hardcourt
A resurgent Medvedev won his maiden championship for 882 days with a win over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
Medvedev, a ex- top-ranked player, has had a challenging period, achieving just a single victory at the Grand Slams and experiencing a difficult moment at the US Open.
The player's varied form on the tennis tour - and issues with his serving in especial - resulted in him dropping out of the elite rankings and finally splitting with long-time mentor his previous coach.
Now collaborating with his coach and his other coach, the tennis star has steadily progressed in the recent weeks - culminating in a hard-fought competitive victory over opponent Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's maiden trophy after the Italian tournament and initial on a hard court from March of 2023.
Success also signifies the Russian has achieved 21 victories at 21 distinct competitions.
"For the first time I am participating in a event with my both daughters at once, so to get a title is really nice," commented ranked player Medvedev.
"This victory is in dedication of my second daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I won when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had failed in his previous six championship matches, featuring in Halle in the past months.
The player's counter-punching approach and regular outbursts on court had caused commentators to wonder if his skill to compete at the highest level was concluded.
Yet the 29-year-old has made changes in the last few weeks, attempting to advance forward and play assertively, supported by an improved serving game.
Medvedev recovered from a disadvantage in the first set against the challenging Frenchman, securing four of the final five exchanges to go ahead.
The competitors swapped service breaks in the middle set before the challenger, attempting for his initial ATP Tour victory, gained dominance to create a third set.
Moutet rescued 4 initial opportunities in a close deciding set before Medvedev broke to fifteen to close out the victory.
Suitably, he clinched victory with a point at the net, with his opponent failing to handle a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
